The Arctic World Archive (AWA) was inaugurated on March 27th 2017 in the decommisioned Mine no. 3 in Longyearbyen, on the arctic island of Svalbard. Sinceopening, AWAhas received significantmedia attention fromall over the world, frommedia channels such as TIMEMagazine (US), ABCNews (US), The National (UAE), Vice (US), Aftenposten (NO), the Hustle (US), The Sun (UK) and NRK (NO), just to name a few.
